During our outdoor play session today we planted some onions.
We had to prepare the soil by removing any weeds and adding some fresh compost. We turned the soil over and broke up big clumps with our hands. It was hard work!
We looked carefully at the onion bulbs to find the roots and where the shoots would come from.
We made holes and put the onions in safely. We covered them carefully before watering them.
We are looking forward to watching our onions grow and using them in our cooking.
