Friends of Crossroads PTA Christmas Craft Fair
On Saturday 1st December Kilrea really entered into the festive season with a bang. Friends of Crossroads PTA organised a Christmas Craft Fair with a magical Santa’s Grotto for the second successive year. The fair was a fantastic hit with the local people with hundreds coming through the door of the Marian Hall in Kilrea to see the gifts and products on offer. There were over forty crafters showcasing and selling their products which ranged from the best of local art and photography to delicious baked goods, fine jewellery and skin care products. Chairperson of the local school’s PTA, Patricia Elliott, commented that she was delighted with the demand for tables in the run up to the event and also with the turnout of support from local people.
“The success of this event is testament to the hard work, commitment and togetherness of the staff and parents of our school. It is a great way to get everyone into the festive spirit while having the added benefit of promoting and raising funds for the pupils of our school.” This was a comment from school principal Eugene Mullan.
